It's pretty much the same as what i made with the milk poster. I hate finding existing things similar to what I've made i need to be more original
just found this..

Evaluation
I like the idea of my final work, but not the space it was presented in. I was a bit limited because I didn't want to have to pay for any materials, this is why my project used a projector.
How Extravagant, making use of free and available resources like that.
I thought the digital medium was best because for me it was free, it was fast, the light made the desired shadows over the projection, and my text was all pulled from the internet. I have been looking at advertising which uses the internet, documentation of artworks i ONLY see via the internet, documentation as an issue, audience, whether or not to have an 'exhibition', formalities, public art, happenings, blogging, relational art, digital art (of course), and I am very interested in relational aesthetics and the way people interact via the internet as opposed to in 'real' life. But everyone likes the internet. Its fun. Everyone is digitally literate now theres nothing special about my medium.
Everything i have used throughout my project has been pulled from the internet or manipulated in photoshop. Anybody could make the exact same thing I did, all of the material is there and hundreds of people can be looking at it at the same time, its not unique but your experience of it is. I don't care what people get from the documentation, that is not the work. It only matters for the people that were there and saw it, and evidently it had little or no impact on them whatsoever so did I not achieve anything except to shine a light on to a projection.
I had so many ideas for this project and this was one of the few that i actually realized, I had been too scared to follow through and make anything because I thought it wouldn't be good enough and this project displays that. I think if i had made some of my other ideas a reality, then seen what I could improve on them because I can see that now with my attempt at a resolution with my typically untitled work. I can never think of titles for my works, this is obviously a problem for some people but I do not have a word or set of words in my vocabulary that suits. For me giving it a title is like when Sudhir says to 'define drawing' i just don't know where to start much less where to finish.
I don't think anybody will ever take the time to read this whole blog because it is too big and it's format allows things to be scrolled over and ignored. But anyway, i learned a lot about..... milk, meat, animals, fair trade, water conservation, carbon emissions, advertising techniques, battery farming, web design, photoshop, dairy farming, studio photography, animal rights, vector illustration, arguing, facebooking, ignorance....

Installation test1
I am quite liking the pixellation and the still images taken rather than the work itself, I'll see what happens tomorrow morning and take some more photos, and maybe some footage of people's interactions with my work. DOCUMENTAIONDOCUMENTAIONDOCUMENTAIONDOCUMENTAIONDOCUMENTAION

The second image where the text is cropped is effective, you can't read the full sentence but get an idea and a question, have you? The images I took have a completely different meaning to the installation as a whole. I like the play between revealing and concealing the words and sentences, wether through use of shadow, light or camera.

so this is my final idea now. fuck i am sick of this. got some of the posters printed and they must have converted them to CYMK or something because they look like shit and you can't read them. Well not like shit but just not up to standard so yes SHIT. $33 shit.

it never eventuated... didn't make the cut

Bocka bocka. Chicken to use in posters, badges etc
putting images in with the text. defeats the purpose of the red lettering so i cut it cut cut cut
just plain lame
was going to put this in the bottom of supermarket baskets to show how many chickens are crammed into a space but i didn't like it
maths idea! wanted to give this out to people as a wee experiment but it never happened. Would ideally go in a magazine as an advert, i would try work it out if i came across it. Good idea but not realised.
a battery hen lays 300 eggs in its lifetime, this chicken is made of THREEEEE HUNDRED EGGS!
and who knows what the image below is up to. raving chickens, one without a beak and two are actually roosters

New World

Really interesting I know... I got to wear a visitor name tag and take photos of the door, and what a door it was!! Smooth shiny glass, loiterers, trolleys, the works :)
The reason for these pictures being that I was thinking of having my exhibition at the supermarket, well not an exhibition as such, rather a 'happening' or some ridiculous thing, I don't know what to classify it as really. The foyer area is quite saturated with advertising already, and all of it is specific to the supermarket although there is a notice board available for local advertising, one of those sweet cork boards that never have enough pins on them.
I am thinking of asking the manager for a floor plan of the supermarket and conducting some kind of tour for a few select people. I don't think I could put this to the general public and just random people entering the store because it may affect New World's sales on some items.... somehow... although that would ideally be what I would do.
I wanted to incorporate some of the badges I made for project drawing..
I was thinking of putting some of the chicken ones near the eggs or egg products, the meat ones in the meaty meat section etc. I would put cage chicken adverts in the bottom of my 'people's' baskets and give them a floor plan of the shop highlighting certain areas. I thought of putting food items on the map, and next to images of the food something about the impact it has on the environment, or maybe just have my corny little posters about cage eggs etc in the booklet.
